On the lateral chest, in the second intercostal space, 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline.
Anatomy
In the second intercostal space, on pectoralis major and minor; the thoraco-acromial and lateral thoracic arteries; the lateral cutaneous branch of the second intercostal nerve.

Indications
Cough and copious phlegm, fullness and pain of the chest and costal region, and difficulty swallowing.

0.3-0.5 cun, oblique or transverse insertion.
