Location
On the face, below the lateral margin of the nostril, level with the junction of the upper third and lower two-thirds of the philtrum, lateral to DU-26.
Anatomy
The orbicularis oris muscle; the superior labial branch of the facial artery; the facial nerve and the infraorbital nerve.

Indications
Nasal obstruction and discharge, epistaxis, facial paralysis, and trismus (lockjaw).
Needling
0.2-0.3 cun, perpendicular or oblique insertion.
Moxibustion Suitability
Moxibustion is generally not used on the face.
Point Combinations
With LI-20 for nasal obstruction; with LI-4 for facial paralysis.
