Location

On the head, on the midline, 5.5 cun superior to the posterior hairline (1.5 cun posterior to DU-20).

Anatomy

On the epicranial aponeurosis; the anastomosis of the occipital and superficial temporal arteries; the greater occipital nerve.

Indications

Headache and dizziness, insomnia, epilepsy, and stiff neck.

Needling

0.3-0.5 cun, transverse insertion.
