Location

On the occiput, 2.5 cun lateral to the upper border of the external occipital protuberance (DU-17), level with BL-10 region.

Anatomy

On the occipitalis; the occipital artery and vein; the greater occipital nerve.

Indications

Occipital headache, dizziness, eye pain and blurred vision, and nasal congestion.

Needling

0.3-0.5 cun, transverse insertion.

Moxibustion Suitability

Suitable for moxibustion.

Point Combinations

With GB-20 for occipital headache.
