Indications
Severe qi constraint, often from emotional upset: a stifling, distended chest and abdomen, shortness of breath, and possibly fainting from a fit of anger.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: thin coat. Pulse: wiry.
Modifications
Stronger qi-moving than Si Mo Tang (which includes Ren Shen).
Cautions & Contraindications
For excess qi constraint; not for qi deficiency or yin deficiency.
