Indications
Yin-deficiency heat: chronic afternoon and night fever (bone-steaming), night sweats, emaciation, five-centre heat, and a flushed face.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: red with little coat. Pulse: thin and rapid.
Modifications
With marked yin deficiency, add yin tonics such as Sheng Di.
