Indications
Dry phlegm-heat in the Lung: a dry, hacking cough with sticky sputum that is difficult to expectorate, and a dry mouth and throat.
Tongue & Pulse
Tongue: red with a dry, thin coat. Pulse: thin and rapid.
Modifications
With more dryness, add Sha Shen and Mai Men Dong.
Cautions & Contraindications
For dry phlegm-heat; not for cold-damp phlegm (drying) cough.
