Location
On the buttock, 3 cun lateral to the midline, level with the fourth posterior sacral foramen (S4), level with BL-30.
Anatomy
On the gluteus maximus; the inferior gluteal artery; the inferior gluteal nerve and, deep, the sciatic nerve.

Indications
Lumbosacral and hip pain, sciatica and pain of the leg, difficult urination, haemorrhoids, and genital pain.
Needling
1.5-3.0 cun, perpendicular insertion.
