Bladder 37 (BL 37) Yin Men 殷門 — Gate of Abundance

Location

On the back of the thigh, 6 cun distal to BL-36, on the line connecting BL-36 and BL-40, between biceps femoris and semitendinosus.

Anatomy

Between the hamstrings; the perforating branches of the deep femoral artery; the posterior femoral cutaneous nerve and the sciatic nerve.

Indications

Lower back pain, sciatica, and pain and stiffness of the back of the thigh.

Needling

1.0-2.0 cun, perpendicular insertion.
