Location

On the upper abdomen, 6 cun superior to the umbilicus, 2 cun lateral to the anterior midline.

Anatomy

On the rectus abdominis; the superior epigastric artery and the seventh intercostal artery; the seventh intercostal nerve.

Indications

Stomach pain, vomiting, abdominal distension, poor appetite, and acid regurgitation.

Needling

0.5-0.8 cun, perpendicular insertion.

Moxibustion Suitability

Moxibustion may be used.

With CV-12 and ST-21 for stomach pain.
