This is the Xi-Cleft point of the Heart channel. It nourishes Heart yin, clears deficiency heat and is a principal point for night sweats.
Location
On the palmar aspect of the forearm, 0.5 cun proximal to the wrist crease (HT-7), on the radial side of the flexor carpi ulnaris tendon.
Anatomy
Radial to flexor carpi ulnaris; the ulnar artery; the medial antebrachial cutaneous nerve and the ulnar nerve.

- Stops sweating (night sweats) and regulates Heart blood
Indications
Night sweats, palpitations and anxiety, bone-steaming fever, nosebleed and haematemesis, and sudden loss of voice.
Needling
0.3-0.5 cun, perpendicular insertion.
Moxibustion Suitability
Suitable for moxibustion, though more often needled for yin deficiency with heat.
Point Combinations
With KI-7 for night sweats; with HT-7 for palpitations and anxiety.
