Lingdao (HT-4), “Spirit Path”, is the Jing-River and Metal point of the Heart channel. It calms the spirit, regulates Heart rhythm and benefits the voice.
Location
On the palmar aspect of the forearm, 1.5 cun proximal to the wrist crease (HT-7), on the radial side of the flexor carpi ulnaris tendon.
Anatomy
Radial to flexor carpi ulnaris, on flexor digitorum superficialis and profundus; the ulnar artery; the medial antebrachial cutaneous nerve and the ulnar nerve.

Indications
Cardiac pain, palpitations, sudden loss of voice, mental-emotional disorders, and contraction and pain of the elbow and arm.
Needling
0.3-0.5 cun, perpendicular insertion, avoiding the ulnar nerve and artery.
Moxibustion Suitability
Suitable for moxibustion.
Point Combinations
With HT-7 for palpitations; with REN-23 for loss of voice.
