Location
On the lateral neck, posterior to the angle of the mandible, in the depression on the anterior border of the sternocleidomastoid muscle.
Anatomy
Anterior border of sternocleidomastoid; deep lie the external carotid artery and internal jugular vein; the great auricular nerve, facial nerve and, deeper, the vagus nerve.
